Born East of LA (or El Monte) with Mexican and Salvadoran lineage, Angélica embodies the essence of contemporary America, a cultural landscape continually evolving through its fusion with rich Hispanic influences. Across three studio albums, Garcia has painted a world of poetic veneration and resistance through the magical realism of her storytelling.

In a reflection of modern America itself, Garcia’s Gemelo also marks her first album sung almost entirely in Spanish. Produced by Carlos Arévalo of Chicano Batman, the album progresses from tender introspection to intense healing. Angélica has previously been featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk, NY Times year end lists, and Gemelo was named #2 on Rolling Stone’s 50 best Latin Albums of 2024. Her music has also been featured in HBO’s Vida, Apple x Major League Soccer 2023 and EA’s FC25.
